Client Cleared vs. the traditional process
Manual onboarding and AML costs time, creates compliance risk, and loses clients. Here's what changes.
| Traditional process | With Client Cleared | |
|---|---|---|
| Time to onboard | Up to 30 days | Hours of your team’s time |
| Getting the documents in | Chasing by email, then chasing again | Requested once, chased automatically |
| Risk rating | A judgement call nobody wrote down | Weighted score, reasoning saved |
| Ongoing monitoring | Forgotten until something goes wrong | On schedule, by risk level |
| Audit trail | Scattered across folders and inboxes | One file, complete and timestamped |
| Supervisor visit | Days rebuilding the file | One button, the whole file |
| Sanctions, PEP and adverse media | Manual searches and a spreadsheet | Global lists, refreshed daily |
Two solutions. One platform.
Taking a client on, and keeping them right afterwards. Most firms run these as two separate jobs with a gap in the middle. Here the second one starts the moment the first one finishes.
Take the client on without the chase
One guided flow the client finishes themselves, from the invite to the signed engagement letter.
- The client does the work, not your team
- The chasing happens without you
- Signed and filed in the same flow
Keep them right for as long as they stay
Everyone who finishes onboarding lands here automatically and is checked in the background from then on.
- Nothing waits on somebody remembering
- The file builds itself as you go
- You see only what needs a decision
From first invite to continuous compliance
Every client follows one fixed flow: onboarded with full KYC and AML checks, then moved straight into ongoing monitoring. Client Cleared enforces the sequence and keeps your team in the loop at every step.
Automatic reminders: clients who go quiet get reminders after 2 days, then on a gap you set, 7 days unless you change it, up to 3 times, plus link-expiry warnings. Company directors and signatories follow the same pattern. Engagement letter reminders fire at 5 and 2 days before expiry.
Onboarding finishes, monitoring starts
Two things keep running. The checks on every client you have taken on, and the file your firm has to keep on itself. AMLR asks for both, and an inspection starts with the second one.
Reviews come round on their own
Your firm sets a review cycle for each risk level. The work then appears when it falls due, so nobody has to keep a diary.
Your settings, not ours. AMLR caps high risk at one year, and a client that moves up a tier moves on to the shorter cycle straight away.
Re-screened on a cycle, and the moment a list moves
At onboarding, then at every review date you set. When a sanctions or high-risk country list changes, anyone the change reaches is re-checked straight away, whatever their cycle says.
PEP hits stop the case
A hit waits for your compliance officer to confirm or dismiss it. Enhanced due diligence fires on its own for high-risk countries.
The reports that carry a deadline
Register discrepancies and suspicion reports are tracked against their own clocks, not left sitting in somebody’s inbox.
Your firm’s own file
An inspection starts here, not with your clients.
- Business-wide risk assessment, all six Article 10 inputs
- Your firm policy, versioned every time it changes
- Compliance officer and manager appointments, dated
- Training records, per person per course
- Staff integrity checks on the people doing the work
- An outsourcing register
- A confidential channel to raise a concern
- One page of what your firm is still short of
